Last night I received an email from an early stage startup based in Nottingham, UK, Pegasus Equine Diagnostics, one of my first book customers. This is the best email you can get -- news of securing funding from a VC. The details are here.
The founder, a scientist with a passion and expertise in equine diagnostics, discovered and pioneered a blood testing protocol for two serious diseases in horses - cushings syndrome and laminitis. I enjoyed several email conversations with Sue, the founder, about her idea and the prospects for turning it into a business. I sensed she had the entrepreneurial mettle to go the distance.
So congrats, Sue, on reaching this major milestone!
