Yes -- it's that time of year when us Canadians go crazy...we're obsessed...and thank goodness. It's one of the few things we love to brag about. On most everything else, we are modest and laid back...almost apologetic. But not when it comes to...yes...
HOCKEY!!
And today, like most die-hard fans, we're couch potatoes...watching all the various hockey matches unfold. Tonight, at 6pm...I'll be in my seat at the Scotiabank Place (read-our NHL arena in Ottawa) watching the Ottawa Senators play game #2 against the Tampa Bay LIghtning.
The only comparison I care to draw between hockey and high tech (since my blogs are always about something useful :) is this -- it's all about team. If we don't believe we can get it done and if we don't play like we belong holding the Cup, we're in for a short ride -- skill is important, and goodness knows Ottawa Sens have tons of that, but it's the second-guessing and the fear that paralyze us -- fear of failure.
So tonight, I'll be cheering hard and enjoying the ride ...and hoping the Sens can look inside and say "someone's got to win the Cup...why can't it be us"...Go Sens Go!!!
